Cove Magic Non-Stick Moss is a unique, homegrown moss cultivated at The Cove, combining characteristics of Christmas Moss (Vesicularia montagnei) and Taiwan Moss (Taxiphyllum alternans). Supplied in a pre-established pot, it’s shrimp-safe and perfect for aquascapes, offering bushy, medium-textured growth that supports shrimp grazing and shelter.

Cove Magic Moss occupies the space between Christmas Moss and Taiwan Moss in texture and growth pattern. Its fronds are denser than Taiwan Moss but less rigid than Christmas Moss, creating a soft, lush, and versatile moss ideal for accenting hardscape, forming patches, or providing natural grazing surfaces in shrimp tanks.
Unlike some mosses, Cove Magic Moss does not stick to surfaces, making it perfect for controlled placement in pots or for decorative “floating” sections that can later attach naturally. Its fine structure supports biofilm and microorganism growth, offering natural nutrition for Neocaridina, Caridina, and fry. Our absolute favourite for our shrimps!
