The Red Devil Orange Eyes Shrimp, Caridina cantonensis, .
Caridina species thrive in tanks with active soil that lowers the pH to an optimal range of 5 to 6.5, which is perfect for freshwater shrimp, especially Caridina varieties.
The recommended parameters are:
pH: 5.5 to 6.5
GH: 4-6
KH: 0 – 1
Nitrate: 0-20 ppm for optimal results.
Temperature: Maintain a stable range of 20-23 degrees Celsius.
Our Tips:
It is advisable to start with a group of 10-20 shrimp to ensure a balanced gender ratio and more vibrant behaviour.
Feed the shrimp a variety of foods every other day. At Shrimp Cove, we nourish our shrimp with Vegetable Shrimp Bars, which are plant-based proteins enriched with seaweed for lean, superior nutrition. In addition, we offer Protein Bars to aid in growth, reproduction, and egg development, drawing from our of experience in breeding thousands of shrimp. Don't forget some lovely blanched greens once a week, We spoil ours here at Shrimp Cove!
