These Sulawesi species prefer an aquarium with sand or an inert substrate. They are freshwater species.
The recommended parameters are as follows:
PH: 7 to 8.5
GH: 4-10
KH: 3-8
Nitrate: 0-20ppm
Temperature: 23 to 30 degrees Celsius
Sulawesi snails are skilled climbers and need an aquarium with a secure lid. They often reside at the tank's surface and may drop to the bottom. To reduce shell damage from such falls, refrain from placing pebbles, rocks, or similar objects near the tank's perimeter.
An ideal colony size is between 20-30 snails. These reserved snails become more active once they are accustomed to their environment. They flourish in tropical aquarium conditions with water parameters akin to those preferred by cichlids, especially a temperature range of 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. Although they are not demanding, it is vital to keep the water clean and the nitrate levels low.
When the snails arrive, let the bag(s) acclimate to room temperature for an hour to slowly equalize the water temperature inside. Following that, initiate a gradual drip acclimation process.
Provide the snails with a diverse diet every other day. At Shrimp Cove, we offer a selection of blanched vegetables, such as spinach, fruits like cucumber, fish flakes, and our proprietary Snail Rainbow Multi discs, Snail mini Pellets and our Vegetable Shrimp Bars, which are formulated with plant-based proteins and seaweed to ensure lean and optimal nutrition.
